The LSU Tigers look to be on the verge of acquiring a top in-state four-star prospect.

According to On3, 2027 four-star safety Jayden Anding is leaning towards LSU.

Anding, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect from Ruston, Louisiana, is ranked No. 11 nationally in 247Sports’ composite rankings and No. 7 in Louisiana. He is now ranked No. 135 overall among the 2027 recruiting class.

On3’s Keegan Pope stated this week that three of the recruiting analysts have predicted LSU will sign Anding.

Oklahoma recruiting insider Josh McCuistion made a pick for LSU to win out (for Anding), joining previous selections from Rivals national analysts Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman last fall, according to Pope.

Jayden Anding already has ties to LSU.

It’s hardly surprising that LSU is anticipated to recruit Anding. For one, he’s an in-state prospect that the Tigers are excited about, and LSU seldom loses recruiting wars.

Second, Anding’s older brother, Aidan Anding, has committed to LSU for the 2025 recruiting season.

Aidan, a former four-star cornerback, appeared in eight games for the Tigers as a true freshman last season.

LSU presently has two recruits committed to its 2027 recruiting class, which is placed No. 33 in the country.
