Police eventually came into contact with another alleged victim of Cheever. Another victim of Mr. Cheevers’ fraud was reportedly identified. She told the Leicester investigator that she had lost approximately $48,000 to Mr. Cheevers, who had borrowed money from her but never repaid it. Cheevers has pled not guilty to all counts in East Brookfield District Court.

Robert Cheevers played three seasons at Boston College and was drafted by the Bruins but never played for them.
