However, thanks to Rejoyceful Animal Rescue in Clinton Township, he was given a second chance at life. The rescue staff named him Hutchinson Blue, believing the dog’s resilience mirrored that of the Detroit Lions’ rising star.
That faith paid off. Hutchinson Blue has beaten the odds, thriving despite his disabilities and bringing joy to everyone he meets. His story gained attention from Aidan Hutchinson himself, who welcomed the pup to Lions training camp in 2024. The two posed for photos, creating an instant connection that went viral.
Beyond the feel-good story, Hutchinson Blue has become a symbol of hope and inclusion.
