BYU Officially Set for 2026 Maui Invitational

The 2026 Maui Invitational will feature BYU among the eight participating schools, the event revealed Wednesday. The Cougars join a lineup that includes Arizona, Clemson, Ole Miss, Providence, Washington, Colorado State, and VCU. The tournament is scheduled for November 23–25, the Monday through Wednesday leading into Thanksgiving.

BYU stands as one of two Big 12 representatives in the field alongside Arizona, which likely places them on different sides of the eight-team bracket. The Cougars faced Ole Miss, Providence, and VCU last season and will meet Clemson on December 9 in New York City.

Once regarded as the top non-conference tournament, the Maui Invitational has lost some shine in recent years, but this particular field is one of the strongest assembled in the NIL era. Every one of BYU’s three contests should count as either Quad One or Quad Two matchups.

Though BYU’s 2026–2027 roster picture remains unclear, if Kevin Young continues at the helm, the Cougars should enter the event as one of the leading contenders to capture the championship.
