Amare Patterson, a four-star wide receiver from Ridgeland, South Carolina, is still making strides in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle, with schools from coast to coast vying for his commitment this offseason.
After extending an offer his way, Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers joined the contest for the South Carolina native on Tuesday, and Patterson is now rated as one of the top 50 wideouts in the nation.
During his time in the prep arena, the 6-foot, 180-pounder has earned scholarships from schools like the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Florida State Seminoles, and many more.
Following their call to the high-profile pass-catcher this week, Kiffin and Co. are the most recent to offer a scholarship.
After securing an official visit with the fast-rising wide receiver for mid-May, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have seen Patterson’s recruiting take off this offseason.
“Coach Coley has been pushing hard,” Patterson told Rivals. I really liked him; he came to see me on Wednesday. Georgia is the place to be if I want to grow as a man and an athlete, he tells me. Their development, the ambiance, and the personnel are all remarkable. For me, they are up there.
Following an official visit of their own on the schedule, Jon Sumrall and the Florida Gators are making their presence felt, in addition to the Georgia coaching staff.
As SEC schools drool over the potential he has, Patterson will spend several days in Gainesville the weekend of June 11, when the Gators will have a chance to try out the gifted wide receiver. Florida is currently in the lead in the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Patterson said, “The old staff was hard on me, and the new staff has jumped in the same way. ” “They’re on me hard.
They’re saying I’m the one for them and that they want me. For me, Coach Davis, Coach McKnight, and a few other coaches are unquestionably up there.
Add to that Kiffin and the LSU Tigers, a university that is attempting to enter the competition for the highly sought-after candidate who is causing a lot of excitement in the recruiting industry between Georgia and Florida.
Patterson said to Rivals last month that he is constantly switching between Florida and Georgia. “Both coaching groups are vying to be the most aggressive in their recruitment of me. They contact me every day.
