According to reports, a five-star, elite recruit would visit Michigan State next month.
According to On3’s Allen Trieu, Michigan State is scheduled to host five-star edge rusher Kameron McGee for an unofficial visit next month. According to Trieu, McGee will visit Michigan State on April 2.
According to 247Sports’ composite rating system, McGee is a five-star prospect with a recruiting score of 99. 61. He is the No. 2 edge rusher and No. 6 overall prospect in the 2028 class. He is also ranked as the top player in Illinois.
According to 247Sports, Michigan State was one of the first of around 40 universities to offer McGee. He has notable offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, Louisville, Miami (FL), Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Texas, Tennessee, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame.
McGee is a tremendous prospect who is drawing attention from all of the major programs in the nation. So it’s significant and good that Michigan State is bringing him on campus this spring. It will be intriguing to see if the Spartans can sustain his interest in them or if they are still a notch below the programs that would normally attract someone of his caliber.
