Florida State has five commitments for the 2027 cycle. However, quarterback remains a position. They haven’t received a commitment as of yet.

They’re looking at several possibilities, including four-star prospect Jake Nawrot from Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was given a scholarship by FSU in February, and according to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, he would pay his first visit to the school on Thursday, March 26.

It will be fun to visit FSU and see it in the South. I like Jameis Winston a lot and want to see the culture there, according to Nawrot, who is planning a trip to the school.

Last weekend, Nawrot traveled to Kentucky. Following his visit to Florida State, he has plans to tour Oregon (March 31), Iowa (April 4), Washington (April 7), and Kansas State (April 9).

Nawrot’s junior season at John Hersey High School was excellent. He completed 71% of his attempts for 3,078 yards and 41 touchdowns, with just two interceptions, as well as 124 yards rushing and eight additional scores.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder helped the Huskies to a 9-3 record in his first year as a starter and earned All-State recognition for his performance. He also earned Alpha Dog distinction at the Elite 11 in Indianapolis in February.

Nawrot is one of the country’s top recruits. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 40 overall player and the country’s No. 2 quarterback. Nawrot is the top prospect in Illinois.
