Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is officially a homeowner after recently closing on a new property in the Metro Detroit area.

The former first-round pick, selected by Detroit in the 2022 NFL Draft, celebrated the milestone with photos shared by a local realtor. However, it wasn’t the home purchase that immediately grabbed fans’ attention—it was the outfit Williams chose for the occasion.

Social media users quickly reacted to the wide receiver’s shorts, which featured bold NSFW branding across the front. The attire generated a wave of comments from Lions fans and followers online.

One fan wrote, “He couldn’t have worn a different pair of shorts?! Really.”

Another commented, “Nothing like buying a house and wearing shorts with giant words across the front to your signing appointment.”

While some criticized the wardrobe choice, others were more interested in tracking down where the shorts could be purchased. Reports indicate the designer item is available online for more than $100.

Jameson Williams Continues Growth With Lions

Despite the social media chatter, Williams continues to establish himself as one of Detroit’s key offensive playmakers.

His NFL journey began with adversity after suffering a torn ACL during his final college game, limiting his impact as a rookie. Since then, Williams has steadily developed his game, adding strength, refining his route-running, and earning the trust of the coaching staff.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell previously acknowledged Williams’ efforts to improve his hands and overall consistency, praising his commitment to reaching his full potential.

Entering the offseason, the 25-year-old emphasized his goal of becoming a more complete receiver. In addition to his big-play ability, Williams has earned recognition for his willingness to block and contribute in all phases of the offense.

According to the Lions’ official team website, improving pass-catching consistency remains important for Detroit after the team saw a significant increase in dropped passes during the 2025 season.

Williams Earned Trust of Jared Goff Late in 2025

Williams finished the 2025 campaign on a high note, solidifying himself as the Lions’ No. 2 wide receiver and becoming a reliable target for veteran quarterback Jared Goff.

He delivered several standout performances down the stretch, including strong outings against the Packers and Rams. During the final six games of the season, Williams consistently produced, recording fewer than five receptions and fewer than 70 receiving yards in just one contest.

With a lucrative three-year contract extension worth up to $83 million already secured, Williams appears poised to play a major role in Detroit’s offense for years to come.
