BYU football has gained its second commitment for the 2027 recruiting class.

The newest addition is Ezra Sanelivi, a running back from Las Vegas. Sanelivi is a three-star recruit who the 247Sports Composite ranks as the 73rd running back in the country for the 2027 season.

The 5-foot-11, 210-pound ball carrier attends Liberty High School in Nevada. It is the same school that previously produced BYU superstar Kai Nacua. Nacua was the Patriots’ quarterback. BYU hopes that the Liberty High backfield will make a big difference in Provo once again.

Sanelivi is a prospect to whom BYU has made an offer for over a year.

They welcomed the exceptional Vegas ball carrier for a spring visit at the end of March.

Ezra Sanelivi has committed to BYU football as part of the 2027 class.

He chose BYU over institutions like as Arizona, Iowa, Oregon State, Arkansas, Washington, Wisconsin, and others.

Sanelivi, a physical runner, has ran for 1,606 yards and scored 21 touchdowns in the previous two seasons of his high school career.

Last year, Sanelivi rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown against one of Utah’s best teams, Skyridge High, in the fall.

Sanelivi joins Mountain Ridge High linebacker Tytan Dejong as BYU’s class of 2027.
