Detroit Lions Star Amon-Ra St. Brown Snubbed From Terrell Owens’ Top 5 NFL Wide Receiver Rankings
Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has established himself as one of the NFL’s premier playmakers, earning four consecutive Pro Bowl selections and two First-Team All-Pro honors during his impressive career.
Despite his consistent production and elite status among NFL receivers, Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens recently left St. Brown off his list of the league’s top five wide receivers, sparking debate among fans and analysts.
Terrell Owens Leaves Amon-Ra St. Brown Off Top 5 Wide Receiver List
During a recent appearance, Owens named his five best wide receivers in the NFL today: Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams, Davante Adams of the Los Angeles Rams, DeVonta Smith of the Philadelphia Eagles, Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, and A.J. Brown of the New England Patriots.
The omission of St. Brown is surprising considering his outstanding 2025 season. The Lions star finished with 117 receptions for 1,401 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, ranking among the NFL’s most productive pass catchers.
By comparison, St. Brown’s reception and yardage totals ranked fourth among all NFL wide receivers, while his 11 touchdown catches were second-best in the league. His numbers compare favorably to several players who made Owens’ list, further fueling discussion about where he belongs among the NFL’s elite receivers.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Focused on Helping Detroit Lions Return to the Playoffs
After finishing the 2025 season with a 9-8 record, the Detroit Lions narrowly missed the NFL playoffs despite posting their third consecutive winning season.
Making matters worse, division rival Chicago Bears, led by former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, captured the NFC North crown and secured a playoff berth while Detroit was left watching from home.
St. Brown acknowledged the disappointment but made it clear the Lions are using the setback as motivation heading into the new season.
“It hurts. But we didn’t do enough. We didn’t make enough plays and win enough games. We don’t deserve to be in the playoffs,” St. Brown said.
The star receiver added that the experience should fuel the team’s hunger throughout offseason workouts and training camp as they prepare for a bounce-back campaign.
Detroit Lions Looking to Rebound in 2026
The Lions enter the 2026 season with renewed determination and several new faces on the roster. Detroit’s offense will now be guided by offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, creating a fresh opportunity for the team to return to playoff contention.
With Amon-Ra St. Brown continuing to perform at an elite level and the Lions motivated by last season’s disappointment, Detroit will be aiming to prove that missing the postseason was an exception rather than the beginning of a trend.
