Liverpool’s derby day is quickly approaching, as they meet Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.

Following their elimination from this season’s Champions League in midweek, The Reds are clinging on in the Champions League race and can now focus solely on the Premier League.

As things stand, Arne Slot’s team is now in fifth place, three points behind Manchester United and Aston Villa, and they will believe they still have a decent possibility of making the top four cut, even if fifth position has become an additional Champions League berth.

Everton, on the other hand, is vying for Europe, trailing seventh-placed Brentford by a single goal difference. However, as things stand, eighth place has a chance of qualifying for Europe.

Ahead of what should be another thrilling Merseyside derby, we’ve gathered the most recent injury updates for both teams.

Jack Grealish – Out.

Grealish is out for the season with an ankle ailment, thus he will not be available.

Charly Alcaraz – Doubt.

There is a chance that Alcaraz may return. David Moyes remarked last week: Charly Alcaraz is returning to early training, therefore he will be unavailable for the game, but he is getting closer to being fit again.

Conor Bradley is out.

Bradley had knee surgery during the winter and is expected to be out until the back half of 2026.

Hugo Ekitike is out.

In a devastating setback for Liverpool and the player, Ekitike has been ruled out until the end of this year due to an Achilles injury. A statement released this week confirmed it: Liverpool have verified that Hugo Ekitike has suffered a major Achilles injury. Scans on the injury have since verified an Achilles tendon tear. As a result, Ekitike will miss the club season’s final weeks and will be unable to represent France in this summer’s World Cup.

Giovanni Leoni- Out

Leoni is sidelined until August after suffering a major knee injury earlier in the season.

Wataru Endo: OUT.

Endo was ruled out for the season due to an ankle injury sustained in February.

Alison Becker – Out.

Alisson is not yet ready to return, but he is getting closer. Slot stated last week: No, we haven’t gotten a player back yet… However, Alisson is striving hard to return to the team, which is encouraging. He will miss this weekend’s squad.
