Charlotte Hornets rising star Kon Knueppel is not the only basketball player in his family; his younger brother may continue the Duke tradition in the future.

According to John Watson of 247 Sports, Duke has recently offered Kager Knueppel, whose older brother Kon Knueppel also attended the school. He is the first player in the 2027 class to be offered by the Blue Devils.

Kager is now competing with Team Herro on the EYBL circuit and will be entering his senior year of high school next season at Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee.

Kager is one of the top high school forwards in the United States, and he is expected to be a top-five recruit in Wisconsin. Kon was a highly touted prospect in his own right, rejecting offers from other elite college schools such as Wisconsin, Virginia, Notre Dame, Alabama, USC, and Marquette to attend Duke.

Whether Kager commits to Duke is another question. However, there is certainly some history that might lead him in that direction. Kon played one season for the Blue Devils before declaring for the NBA Draft. He was the third-round choice and had a great year, although he lost out on the Rookie of the Year race to Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg.

Kon played in 81 of 82 games as a rookie, averaging over 31 minutes each game. He averaged 18. 5 points, 5. 3 rebounds, and 3. 4 assists while shooting 47. 5 percent from the field, 42. 5 percent from the 3-point range, and 86. 3 percent from the free-throw line.
