Ipswich Town’s CEO has come under fire from a former Norwich City player over a chant about Delia Smith.

The video has emerged on TikTok showing Mark Ashton with his arm around centre back and captain Dara O’Shea singing along to a chant during the Tractor Boys’ promotion celebrations at the weekend.

Both join in the chants of: “She does meat and potata, we f** hate her, Delia’s a f*** a*“.
The video quickly drew the ire from former City striker, Iwan Roberts, who has branded Mr Ashton “a disgrace” for joining in the chants.

He wrote on X: “Love a rivalry and a bit of banter but think the Ipswich CEO really needs to have a look at himself.

“Just think he’s let himself and the club down. She’s old enough to be his nan.”

However, fans of the Tractor Boys have quickly spoken in support of Mr Ashton, referencing distasteful chants from Canaries fans on derby days
