Ipswich Town, who are headed for the Premier League, have converted the loan deals of Cedric Kipre and Chuba Akpom, from Stade de Reims and Ajax respectively, into permanent transfers.

Kipre, 29, a center defender, made 32 appearances in the Championship this season, activating a clause in his original season-long loan from the French second-tier team. He will join Portman Road for an unknown sum.

Forward Akpom, 30, played 29 times in the league, scoring two goals, and is completing his move based on similar appearance-related criteria.

Both players will complete their agreements on July 1, with Akpom agreeing to a three-year deal.

The duration of Kipre’s contract has not been revealed.

After all we’ve accomplished together, it feels amazing to be officially a member of this great club, according to Kipre. , External

I have loved being here since the first day I arrived. Everyone treated me so nicely that it didn’t seem like I was on loan, therefore I’m thrilled to be joining as a permanent player.

I look forward to the next season, and it would be an honor to represent this club in the Premier League. It’s been my ambition, and I’m really, really happy.

The Tractor Boys secured their quick return to the top division with a final-day triumph against Queens Park Rangers, finishing one point ahead of Millwall in the second automatic promotion position and 11 points behind runaway champions Coventry City.
