Michigan State football has swiftly added another prospect to its list of official guests.
Lawrence Kanneh of Columbus, Ohio, revealed on Wednesday that he has scheduled an official visit to Michigan State in early June. Kanneh reported in a post that the formal visit will take place on June 5.
Kanneh announced the formal visit with the Spartans only hours after receiving an offer from Michigan State.
According to 247Sports, Kanneh is listed as an unranked and unrated candidate in the 2027 class. He stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 220 pounds, and attends Whitehall Yearling High.
Michigan State is the first power four institution to give Kanneh an offer, although he has attracted considerable interest from the group of six level. According to 247Sports, he also has offers from Appalachian State, East Carolina, Marshall, South Florida, Akron, Kent State, Toledo, and Miami (OH).
Michigan State is the first program to arrange an official visit with Kanneh and looks to be in the driver’s seat for his commitment. We’ll have to wait and watch if any other schools join the fray, but for the time being, it appears like Michigan State is in a good position to land this under-the-radar prospect.
