Rebels Add to Backcourt with Former Seton Hall Standout Adam Clark

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss Rebels have made a significant addition to their backcourt, landing a commitment from former Seton Hall standout guard Adam Clark. The Philadelphia native announced his decision to transfer to Oxford, bringing a wealth of experience and proven playmaking ability to head coach Chris Beard’s program.

Clark, who played the 2025-26 season with the Pirates after transferring from Merrimack, is coming off a solid junior campaign in the Big East. He averaged 12.7 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game while starting all 33 contests for Seton Hall . The 5-foot-10 point guard also proved to be a disruptive force on defense, averaging 2.0 steals per game .

“Adam is a tough, experienced floor general who has produced at a high level in one of the best conferences in the country,” said a team source. “He plays with a chip on his shoulder and makes everyone around him better.”

Clark’s journey to Ole Miss has been one of consistent improvement. He began his collegiate career at Merrimack, where he burst onto the scene as a sophomore in the 2024-25 season, averaging an impressive 19.8 points and 6.0 assists per game to earn MAAC Player of the Year honors . He then stepped up to the Big East this past season, proving he could handle the elevated competition. He delivered several clutch performances for the Pirates, including a 19-point effort in a win over Marquette and a 16-point game against Xavier .

Despite his scoring ability, Clark is widely recognized as a pass-first point guard who excels in the pick-and-roll. His assist-to-turnover ratio and ability to get into the paint will be a key asset for the Rebels, who are looking to reload after the 2025-26 season.

Clark, who has one year of eligibility remaining, is expected to step in immediately and compete for the starting point guard role. He joins a Rebel squad looking to build on its recent momentum in the Southeastern Conference.
