Brooks Bahr, a former top-200 prospect, has returned from serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is ready to work for BYU basketball.

Bahr, a combo guard, announced his return on social media.

The Keller, Texas native captioned on Instagram, “Let’s get to work. ” He also shared a photo of himself holding a BYU flag.

Bahr completed his assignment for the Church in the Alpine German-speaking region.

“2 years I’ll carry with me forever. ” “Ready for the next chapter,” Bahr wrote.

Brooks Bahr is a combo guard from Keller, Texas.

Bahr was one of the final recruits to commit and sign with former BYU head coach Mark Pope after graduating from Keller High School in Texas. He chose to join BYU from a final five that included Utah, USC, Wake Forest, and Saint Mary’s.

According to 247Sports, Bahr, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard, is the 123rd overall prospect in the country for the class of 2024.

Bahr averaged 15. 5 points, 5. 1 rebounds, and 3. 1 assists in his four years as a varsity player at Keller High School. He sustained a lower-leg injury, which curtailed his senior season to just 14 games.

Bahr was the District 4-6A Offensive Player of the Year in the Dallas area during his junior year.

Bahr, one of the top players in the Dallas region during his prep career, will attempt to contend for playing time in the backcourt this season for a BYU basketball squad led by star Rob Wright III.

What is unique about Bahr is that he will be the first player in the Kevin Young era to join a squad immediately after completing a Latter-day Saint mission. For the first two years under Young, there were no freshman returning missionaries.
