The Lions are entering unfamiliar territory as they prepare for their playoff game against the Commanders this week. As the top seed in the NFC, they are now considered favorites to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in the team’s history, and all eyes will be on them as they look to continue their strong performance. During his press conference on Monday, head coach Dan Campbell was asked how he thought his team would cope with the new pressure.

“We’ve been in the spotlight for four years,” Campbell explained. “There’s been a lot of narratives built around us—whether we’ve been great or terrible, a joke or a contender—and it’s been a constant rollercoaster of ups and downs. This is just the next chapter. It’s nothing new to me, to the coaches, or to the players. We’ve always been in the circus, and now it’s time to put on the show. That’s just where we are.”

With the increased attention comes heightened expectations, and Campbell was asked whether winning the Super Bowl is the only way to deem this season successful. He responded by saying, “Right now, it’s all about this game. We’re focused on Washington, and once we have to shift our attention, we’ll do that.”
