Kevin Durant, a Washington Commanders fan, has made a bold prediction for the upcoming playoff game against the Detroit Lions. Born in Washington D.C., Durant is confident that the Commanders will secure a 24-21 victory in the divisional round this Saturday. “I have high expectations for us to play some solid Commander football,” Durant shared when asked about the game on Thursday. “We’ve developed an identity as a team, something we’ve lacked for a long time. I’m really excited, it’s going to be a fun game. I’m rooting for the team to get it done.”

The timing of the game works out well for Durant, as his Suns are playing the Detroit Pistons earlier that day, allowing him to head over to Ford Field afterward to watch the Commanders face the Lions. The Lions are currently favored by 8.5 points in the matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Despite their unyielding performance behind rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, especially in their dramatic wild-card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Commanders will face a tough challenge. While Washington has potential, they will need to overcome a powerful Lions team that has been one of the NFL’s best all season.
