Despite the fact that the series was never close, New York Knicks superfan Ben Stiller has great regard for the Philadelphia 76ers, whom his club defeated in a playoff sweep.
Stiller sent an inspirational message to the 76ers and their supporters via X, formerly Twitter. “Respect to [the] Sixers and their supporters,” he remarked.
He followed up by writing, “Got it done,” with four broom emojis, indicating the sweep. Stiller also wrote “MITCH,” with three fist emojis, thanking center Mitchell Robinson.
Ben Stiller’s Knicks crushed the 76ers, and it wasn’t even close.
The Knicks won their seventh consecutive game, including four straight against the Sixers. They were down 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in their first playoff series, with both losses being by one point, before regaining their form.
During their winning run, the Knicks have won multiple games in landslides, including a 51-point victory over the Hawks in Game 6. Their series with the Sixers wasn’t much closer.
They won the first game of the series by 39 points. While Games 2 and 3 were quite close, winning by six and fourteen points, respectively, Game 4 was not. New York finished the series by winning by 30 points.
Miles McBride, who was replacing an injured OG Anunoby, scored 25 points to lead the team. He hit 70% of his attempts, including 7/9 from outside the three-point range.
Landry Shamet continued his excellent performance by recording 15 points in Game 3. He added 12 points in Game 4, making four of his six three-point attempts.
The Knicks can now look forward to the Eastern Conference Finals. They have made it for the second consecutive year. They will face the Detroit Pistons or the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Pistons currently lead the series 2-1, with Game 4 set for May 11.
In the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder has a 3-0 lead over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs are locked 2-2 in their series. This gives the Knicks plenty of time to rest before their next series.
