The Philadelphia Phillies have reversed their season after firing previous manager Rob Thomson. Philadelphia has gone 10-3 under Don Mattingly and is currently only three games below . 500 following a terrible month of April.

As the Phillies strive to get back on track, they are still seeking contributions from a few regular players, including second baseman Bryson Stott. The 28-year-old is well known for his strong defense in the middle, but his bat exploded last season, making him a power at the bottom of the lineup.

Unfortunately, that success has not carried over into 2026. Stott has a. 213 batting average, a. 262 on-base percentage, a. 622 OPS, three home runs, and 15 RBIs in 35 appearances.

As the season progresses, Stott still has ample of opportunity to turn things around. The Phillies have an off day on Monday in preparation for their trip to Fenway Park for a series against the Boston Red Sox.

Stott used the day off to give a personal update. Stott and his wife, Dru Stott, declared that their family will expand. In a joint post, they announced that Dru is pregnant, sharing a collection of photographs featuring the couple and their two young children, a daughter named Braxtyn (born November 2023) and a son named Jaxson (born July 2025).

The caption had a little jest about their family already having one daughter and one son. “Tie-breaker, benefit GIRL🎀👑” “Another blessing on September 26th, ” it said.

As Stott prepares to become a father again and his family grows, he will try to use the opportunity to help him turn his season around.

Stott is currently in his fifth year with Philadelphia. He has spent his whole career with the team, having been selected in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft and progressed through the minor-league system before making his debut in 2022.

As the Phillies make their way back into title contention, Stott’s capacity to recapture his offensive touch might have a significant impact on how far this squad goes.
