Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns supporters, and McDonald’s are about to have a good time.
Booker and the fast food giant are collaborating on the Nike Book 2 shoes, which will be available in a teal colorway on June 2 as a homage to Sedona’s legendary McDonald’s arches.
Booker teased the drop on X by posting photographs of himself sitting with mascot Ronald McDonald on a bench in Sedona, casually sporting the new shoes, stating he’s “Just Lovin’ it. “
Nike Book 2, McDonald’s partnership and beyond
The shoes are priced at $155 on Nike. com and have a desert sand hue with teal accents on the swoosh and sole.
Inspired by the world’s sole McDonald’s with turquoise Arches, this Book 2 represents going the uncharted route, much like the Sedona landmark. Book 2, like the chips at the bottom of the bag, is the bomb, combining some of our greatest basketball technology with Book’s enthusiasm for Arizona, allowing you to serve defenders when it’s your turn on the grill.
There appear to be additional colorways with an all-teal look, allowing consumers to choose from a variety of options for the Booker/McDonalds collaboration.
“McDonald’s was a part of my story long before the league—from being a McDonald’s All American alum to giving back through Ronald McDonald House, my roots with the brand run deep,” Booker said in a statement.
“My sneakers have always been a celebration of the Arizona localities that have influenced me throughout the years, and the Nike Book 2 McDonald’s draws inspiration from a location I visit every offseason. “
The Book 2 has not been as well received as the first edition of the shoe, but it may be better than the rest.
