According to college sports insiders, Wake Forest transfer guard Juke Harris is likely to join the Tennessee Volunteers as soon as this week. The 6-foot-7 guard has reduced his options to a top three that includes Tennessee, Michigan, and North Carolina.

According to college sports expert Chris Low, his sources indicate that Harris will join Rick Barnes’ team on the RTI Low Down Podcast. Low stated that the recruitment was influenced by a good bond between Barnes and Harris’ family that dates back to his high school days.

You never say never, but according to all of my information, Juke Harris will pull the trigger and move to Tennessee this week, according to College Sports Insider Chris Low. I know his mother is a major supporter of the show and Rick Barnes.

Harris is coming off a successful sophomore season at Wake Forest, in which he averaged 21. 4 points, 6. 5 rebounds, and 1. 9 assists per game. He exhibited strong perimeter scoring prowess, hitting 87 three-pointers in the 2025-26 season while shooting 44. 4% from the court.

Despite his anticipated commitment, Harris is in a transitional time as he navigates the NBA Draft process. On Monday, On3’s Joe Tipton stated that Harris is currently predicted to be a second-round selection and will use the following several weeks to gather comments from NBA officials before making a final stay-or-go decision.

The situation adds to Tennessee’s roster uncertainty, similar to recent eligibility delays experienced by the university’s football team. If Harris stays in the draft until May, the Volunteers may have few alternatives to find a similar replacement in the transfer portal at that late point.

Tennessee has already received six transfers this summer, including Terrence Hill Jr. , Dai Dai Ames, and Miles Rubin. The team would complete one of the three remaining scholarship slots by adding Harris as it prepares for the 2026-27 season following the departure of standout forward Nate Ament to the professional ranks.
