The Tennessee Volunteers have consistently ranked among the top programs for the past year. It doesn’t seem like Rick Barnes wants the Volunteers to slip from the top of the standings anytime soon.
Barnes got a fifth transfer commitment this spring, earlier today. Terrence Hill Jr. , a VCU transfer, committed to Barnes and the Volunteers this morning, according to Joe Tipton of On3.
According to On3’s X account, “VCU transfer guard Terrence Hill Jr. has committed to Tennessee, Joe Tipton reports. “

Hill’s dedication was anticipated. Hill completed his trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, on Friday, having visited Kansas earlier this week. According to reports, he was one of Barnes’ major targets in the transfer portal.
“It went amazing, man,” Hill told Rocky Top Insider about his visit. “The city of Knoxville has so much to offer, so visiting down here and seeing what they had to offer was a wonderful experience. ” Having my family down here and having this overall experience was fantastic. “
“Just to see what Rick Barnes had to offer for me and how much he believed in me,” Hill said. “[Barnes] told me he watched a lot of video on me throughout my games this season. He was very thrilled. He’s worked really well with a lot of wonderful point guards. “
Hill made significant progress in his second year at VCU, earning Atlantic 10 6th Man of the Year recognition. Hill averaged 15. 0 points, 46. 6% shooting from the field, 2. 7 rebounds, and 2. 8 assists in 25 minutes across 36 appearances for the Rams. He hit 2. 3 three-pointers per game and improved at getting to the free throw line while having shooting splits of 46. 6/37. 0/86. 6.
