The Wisconsin Badgers have scheduled not one, but two formal visits with the class of 2027. Defensive tackle Will Zaccagnino.
After discovering that Zaccagnino would be visiting on April 28, the No. 4 defensive end in New England has added yet another trip to his already hectic schedule. Zaccagnino announced on March 11 that he will be visiting Madison from May 28 to 31, in addition to planned trips to UConn, Navy, Army, Michigan State, Duke, and Penn State.
Zaccagnino included Badgers head coach Luke Fickell, defensive line coach E. J. Whitlow, and safeties coach Jack Cooper in his piece.
Wisconsin presently has two defensive promises in its class of 2027, both of whom are in-state recruits. In fact, all four of its commitments are from Wisconsin natives.
Zaccagnino now plays for St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, CT. He visited UConn on March 7, so the Badgers must convince him that Wisconsin is the ideal location for him. Zaccagnino, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 270 pounds, was named to the First Team All-FCIAC, the CHSCA First-Team All-State Top 30, the New Haven Register First-Team All-State, and the Walter Camp All-CT First Team during his junior year.
