Toosii has been added to Louisiana State University’s 2026 football roster as a freshman wide receiver.
According to a Louisianafirstnews. com article published on March 26, Toosii, real name Nau’Jour Grainger, was registered as a wide receiver for the LSU Tigers football team and will wear the number 89 on his jersey. The 26-year-old footballer catches a throw from quarterback Sam Leavitt in the video below, which is provided by WAFB 9 News.
Toosii played high school football in North Carolina before achieving stardom as a rap artist with chart-topping tracks including Favorite Song and IDGAF. Initially, he planned to play football at Syracuse University in late 2025, but those ambitions fell through. Toosii enrolled at LSU in March 2026 and was placed to the Tigers’ roster; according to reports, he was already practicing as a wide receiver with the squad.
If the North Carolina-based rapper has the opportunity to leave his mark on the field, Toosii might become one of the few multi-platinum performers to play Division I football on a college level.
If no one told me, I’m proud of myself, Geaux Tigers, Toosii said on his Instagram page, adding tiger and prayer hands emojis.
It’s unknown if Toosii is quitting rap entirely, but it is possible for him to balance creating tunes with catching footballs.
