Wisconsin’s 2027 recruiting class continues to gain momentum, and on Thursday, it potentially secured its most significant local commitment to date.

Kingston Allen, a running back from Notre Dame Academy and the highest-rated prospect in Wisconsin for the 2027 recruiting cycle, publicly declared his commitment to the University of Wisconsin.

Impressive High School Performance

Allen was instrumental in leading the Tritons to the WIAA Division 2 state championship game, achieving exceptional statistics throughout:

  • 3,436 rushing yards
  • 57 rushing touchdowns

During the Division 2 championship game at Camp Randall Stadium, Allen accumulated 231 rushing yards and two touchdowns, appearing quite comfortable on what will become his home field at the collegiate level.

Wisconsin Retains Top Local Talent

Following Allen’s commitment, Coach Luke Fickell and the Badgers are now well-situated to secure commitments from the state’s top four prospects in the 2027 class.

Prior to Allen’s choice, Wisconsin had already received pledges from three of the state’s top four prospects, including the second-highest rated recruit, tight end Korz Loken from Iola-Scandinavia.

Class Overview

As it currently stands:

  • Wisconsin presently holds eight pledges for its 2027 class.
  • All eight of these recruits hail from within Wisconsin.
  • The class is currently positioned tenth nationwide, as per 247 Sports.

With the state’s premier player now secured, the Badgers’ 2027 recruiting group is not only maintaining a local focus but is also evolving into one of the nation’s elite classes.
