The Wisconsin Badgers football program has gone all-in on recruiting the top in-state prospects.

The initiative is currently focused on Cooper Ohnmacht, a four-star recruit from Kansas.

The Great Bend High School athlete is rated as the No. 2 player in his state and the No. 9 athlete in the Rivals300. While 247Sports’ Tyler Calvaruso has made an expert prediction that he will commit to Penn State, Wisconsin has scheduled an official visit with the 6-foot-185-pound prospect, who is expected to be a safety for the Badgers.

For what it’s worth, Ohnmacht just made an unauthorized visit to the program in late March. Now, he has scheduled an OV for June 11–14.

Ohnmacht is coming off a junior season in which he was chosen first-team All-State, as well as first-team All-WAC as a safety and wide receiver.

Ohnmacht had 52 catches for 755 yards and eight scores as a junior. If that wasn’t enough, he had 56 tackles, two tackles for loss, five interceptions, and two defensive scores, as well as a punt return and kick return touchdown.
