Kelsey Adams is one of Georgia’s greatest commitments in their 2027 recruiting class. According to 247Sports composite rankings, he is a four-star offensive lineman and the No. 112 overall player in the nation. Adams also is from Georgia, making him one of the top commits in this class for Kirby Smart and his team.

Unfortunately, Adams’ recruiting is far from complete; he has multiple additional visits scheduled for this spring. One of those stops occurred at LSU this weekend, and a snapshot of him went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.

4-star Kelsey Adams forgets Georgia exists during his trip to LSU.

The shot above went viral since it depicts Adams hanging out with Lane Kiffin during his visit. That in itself isn’t a major issue, but the fact that he flashed the LSU L in the shot is concerning.

A Georgia pledge should not be doing that. It’s already terrible enough that he’s making additional visits, but supporters have grown to accept that this is simply part of recruiting these days. However, actively expressing interest in other institutions in this manner is a step too far and somewhat disrespectful to Smart and Georgia.

Is this an indication that Adams is considering changing his allegiance to LSU? It’s difficult to say for sure, but this snapshot alone doesn’t reveal much about Georgia’s chances of keeping him in their class. However, the fact that LSU and Kiffin have one of the largest NIL budgets in the country adds to the impression that his commitment is half-hearted.

Whether Adams stays with Georgia or transfers to LSU remains to be seen, but it is obvious that Smart has some work to do to keep him in his class. Losing any one recruit is never a huge deal, but losing an outstanding in-state youngster to Kiffin of all people would be difficult to swallow.
