The WNBA draft has been formally declared by Destiny Howell, who played her senior year for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Due to the fact that the WNBA is still breaking new ground in terms of player contracts, Howell has a great opportunity to advance in her career.
In 2025–2026, the Howard player, who had played for four years, arrived in Madison and scored an average of 14. 0 points, 2. 9 rebounds, and 1. 3 assists each game. Worth noting is that her career high in points (16. 8) occurred in 2022–23, while her career highs in rebounds (4. 3) and assists (2. 6) were achieved last season.
I am thrilled to say that I will be entering the 2026 WNBA draft. It has been my ambition to play professional basketball ever since I was 9 years old. At last, I’m entering that time and have faith in whatever direction God leads me. Howell said he was prepared to begin working.

Howell was a member of the Badgers’ incredible WBIT run, which saw them break a 10-game losing streak and advance to the semifinals.
With a 38% field goal percentage, she has 1,924 points in her official college career. 900 of her 1,810 field goal attempts were from three-point range. Over her five-year career, Howell’s shooting percentage from a distance was 33. 8%.
