A very sought-after transfer guard is allegedly “trending” toward the Tennessee Vols.
Tuesday marks the day when Jalen Haralson, a transfer guard from Notre Dame, will be in Tennessee, and it seems like the Vols have a fair chance of getting the Indiana native.
Tennessee is “trending upward” for Haralson, according to Joe Tipton of On3 on Tuesday.
“Jalen Haralson, a former McDonald’s All-American who transferred from Notre Dame, will travel to Knoxville today to begin his official visit with Tennessee,” Tipton stated. “His list also includes North Carolina and Ohio State, but the Vols are gaining traction in this recruitment and are on the rise. “
As a freshman at Notre Dame last season, Haralson, who is 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds, averaged 16. 2 points, 4. 0 rebounds, and 2. 6 assists per game.
Juke Harris, a Wake Forest transfer guard who is comparable to Haralson, is also on the Vols’ radar.
Additionally, North Carolina and Michigan are in the running for Harris. Since it’s unlikely that Haralson and Harris would attend the same institution, it will be intriguing to observe how this situation develops.
Does Harris have to wait for Haralson to be ready to make a commitment after his trip? Or do they determine that skipping Haralson is not worth the chance? Or does Tennessee attempt the impossible by securing both?
The next days will tell us. The portal season is already crazy, so get ready.
