Fans storm the Kohl Center court after Wisconsin beat Michigan State, 92-71, on Feb 13.
The reigning national champions, as well as three additional Elite Eight clubs, will play men’s basketball games at the Kohl Center in 2026-27.
On May 12, the Big Ten announced the 2026-27 home and away pairings for each men’s basketball squad.
Wisconsin will compete against current national champion Michigan, Purdue, Nebraska, Indiana, Penn State, Oregon, and Washington at the Kohl Center in 2026-27. Purdue is coming off an Elite Eight finish, while Nebraska advanced to the Sweet 16.
The Badgers will visit Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Rutgers, UCLA, and USC only on the road. Michigan State, UCLA, and Ohio State all qualified for the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois will play the Badgers both at home and on the road during the 2026-27 season. Illinois advanced to the Final Four in 2026, while Iowa advanced to the Elite Eight. Minnesota has been one of UW’s home-and-away opponents every year since the Big Ten grew to 18 teams.
The league has not yet announced the dates for Wisconsin’s Big Ten matches. The University of Washington’s announced nonconference matchups include Marquette on December 5 and Auburn on December 19. UW is also scheduled to face Villanova in Philadelphia as part of a two-year contract.
Wisconsin is coming off a 2025-26 season in which the team went 24-11 overall and suffered another early defeat in the NCAA Tournament. The 2026-27 Badgers will have numerous fresh players after losing four starters to graduation or the transfer portal.
