Ole Miss football continued its aggressive recruiting methods after Lane Kiffin. Pete Goulding, the Rebels’ head coach, has signed a new four-star prospect. This one is an edge rusher who has declined Georgia and Michigan: Marvin Nguestop.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-7, 275-pounder emerged as the newest College Football Recruiting victory. He also released a “let’s get to work” message with two shark emojis on On3/Rivals via Hayes Fawcett.

Nguestop shines for St. Thomas More in Connecticut, marking an uncommon Northern East Coast discovery for the Southeastern Conference power. He’s also a German native, telling Steve Wiltfong of On3/Rivals that Ole Miss pursued him the most.

Nguestop told Wiltfong, “They’re a great SEC program, a top program in the country, and I simply want to be a part of it. “

Randall Joyner, the edge rusher coach, led Nguestop’s recruiting. Assistant Mike Stoops also contributed to recruiting power conference talent.

Ole Miss has now defeated SEC opponent Georgia in the defender. The same Bulldogs team that Ole Miss defeated in the College Football Playoffs to reach the semifinals. Goulding led the Rebels to triumph over the Bulldogs, securing his head coaching position for 2026.

The Rebels outmaneuvered other clubs to get Ngustop, including fellow SEC opponent Tennessee and Ohio State from the Big Ten. He is Connecticut’s second overall prospect in the 2027 class.

However, Kiffin wins this recruit after his contentious departure from Oxford.
