NC State transfer forward Cole Cloer has formally committed to Alabama, according to Yea Alabama.
Cloer is a gifted winger who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 190 pounds, with great height and agility. The forward, who joined NC State early in January, never played in a game for the Wolfpack and chose to enter the transfer portal after former head coach Will Wade left for LSU earlier this summer.
Alabama was also mentioned as one of Cloer’s preferred institutions before to his NC State commitment, and the forward will now spend his rookie season with the Crimson Tide in 2026-27.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Cloer is the No. 34 small forward and the No. 85 overall player in the class of 2026. He was ranked as the No. 16 overall player in Florida, where he attended IMG Academy.
As the offseason progresses, Alabama will almost certainly continue to acquire talent via the transfer site, as the Tide have begun to replenish after the departure of several players.
