Jose Alvarez of El Chiringuito TV reports that Aston Villa are ready to go all out to recruit Alejandro Balde from FC Barcelona this summer.
The 22-year-old La Masia product appears to be a top priority for the Premier League team led by Unai Emery as the summer transfer window approaches.
€50 million for Balde.
As a result, the journalist claims that Aston Villa are willing to pay up to €50 million to acquire Balde from Barcelona.
Furthermore, the English team is ready to provide the left-back a pay that is ‘impossible to reject’ in an effort to persuade him to leave the Spotify Camp Nou.
Barcelona will have to make one or two significant sales throughout the summer transfer window in order to meet their ambitious goals of signing Alessandro Bastoni, Julian Alvarez, and a world-class striker.
Balde, to that end, has been mentioned as a possible sale candidate. While the Catalans are not actively attempting to sell him, they would consider any intriguing offer made for the 22-year-old.
Furthermore, a prospective offer of €50 million from Villa may be quite appealing to the La Liga champions. Because he is a domestic player, the full amount received for him would be counted as net profit in the accounts, making a sale even more enticing.
Balde, for one, does not want to leave Barcelona. However, as previously stated, the contract offer from the Premier League team might be too enticing to refuse.
It remains to be seen how things progress in the coming weeks, both for Balde and his future at Barcelona beyond this season. He has a contract through 2028 and has appeared in 36 games this season, collecting three assists.
