MADISON, Wisconsin. – The Wisconsin men’s basketball squad announced that forward Victory Onuetu would join the Badgers next season.

Onuetu, a native of Alhaurín el Grande, Malaga, Spain, joins Madison after playing last season at Hofstra, where he participated in all 35 games, including 17 starts.

According to UW head coach Greg Gard, having Victory join our program is an excellent addition to our squad. He is a tremendously skilled, athletic front line player who provides us with outstanding rim pressure in transition, lob threats in the half court, shot blocking ability, and constant rebounding. In addition to complementing our roster strategy very well, he is an amazing individual that Badger fans will enjoy getting to know. We can’t wait to start working with him when he arrives in June!

Onuetu, a 6-11 forward, led the squad in rebounds with 6. 9 per game while scoring 4. 7 points per game during his year with the Pride. He led the club with 91 offensive rebounds and was second with 36 blocks. Onuetu had two double-doubles at Hofstra, hitting 56. 6% from the field.

Onuetu had four points and nine rebounds in Hofstra’s 2026 NCAA Tournament setback to Alabama.

Onuetu played for CB Prat Juventud in the Spanish Segunda FEB before joining the United States, averaging 10. 9 points and 6. 1 rebounds per game. He also competed for Monbus Obradoiro in Spain’s Primera FEB League.

Onuetu also provides foreign experience, having helped Spain win the FIBA Under-19 World Cup Championship and the FIBA Under-18 European Championship. He also represented Spain in the FIBA Under-20 Championship.

Onuetu is the second transfer to join UW this spring, following the announcement of Trey Autry on Friday.
