The are already seeing positive signs from first-round pick after selecting him with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Miller, who is expected to compete for a starting role at right tackle, recently shared his strong first impression of Detroit during rookie activities. Speaking with , the former standout praised the coaching staff, teammates, and family atmosphere inside the organization.

“It definitely feels a little more real now,” Miller said as he continues adjusting to life in the NFL. The rookie offensive lineman added that working with Lions offensive line coach has already been a major learning experience.

“He’s been amazing,” Miller explained. “He’s a great teacher when it comes to schematics and technique. Everything needs to be perfect.”

Miller also revealed that he has been leaning on veteran star tackle for advice while trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible from Detroit’s offensive line room.

The rookie emphasized how welcoming the locker room has been since arriving in Detroit.

“It’s been great, it feels like a big family in there,” Miller said.

The Lions are hopeful Miller can quickly become a key contributor on one of the NFL’s top offensive lines. During his career at Clemson, Miller started 54 consecutive games and set a school record with 3,778 snaps from scrimmage. He also became the first Clemson offensive lineman selected in the first round of the NFL Draft since the Common Draft era began in 1967.
