Tennessee basketball announced the appointment of Brandon Miller. He will serve as the Lady Vols’ video and strategy director.
Miller served as the director of recruiting and video operations at North Carolina State for the previous nine seasons. Before joining North Carolina State, he worked as the video production analyst for women’s basketball at Boston College from 2015 to 2017.
“I am really glad to add an experienced Power Four veteran like Brandon to our program,” Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell said. He was a dependable member of Wes Moore’s staff at N. C. State, has been to two Final Fours, and offers a diverse expertise from his time at other institutions.
Our entire team is ecstatic to welcome him into the fold, and we look forward to collaborating with him.
Miller succeeds Josh Theis at Tennessee. He was recruited as UCF’s assistant coach and video coordinator.
Lady Vols land a new transfer and hire a new assistant coach
Caldwell made a couple of important moves on Monday that should have a positive impact on the Lady Vols program.
First, Caldwell hired Brandon Miller, who worked at NC State for the last nine years, as Tennessee’s new director of video and strategy.
Miller, who is replacing Josh Theis at UT, served as NC State’s director of scouting and video operations.
“I am really pleased to add an experienced Power 4 veteran like Brandon to our program,” said Caldwell in a press release announcing the hire. “He was a trusted member of Wes Moore’s staff at NC State, has been to two Final Fours and brings a wealth of knowledge from his stops at other schools as well. Our whole office is excited to add him to the mix, and we look forward to working alongside him.”

Coach Caldwell has announced the addition of Brandon Miller to the Lady Vol Basketball staff.
The other big move the Lady Vols made on Monday was landing East Carolina transfer point guard Kennedy Fauntleroy.
Fauntleroy, 5-foot-7, also previously played at Arizona State, Oklahoma State, and Georgetown.
Last season at East Carolina, Fauntleroy averaged 13.7 points a game.
Tennessee has now added 12 transfers and signed two high school recruits for next season, giving the Lady Vols 14 players.
A couple of weeks ago, Caldwell had zero players on her roster. Now she has a solid team that, at least on paper, should be a competitive group in 2026-27.
