Head coach Kim Caldwell has enhanced the Tennessee Lady Volunteers’ basketball roster with the addition of two significant transfer players: guard Jada Eads from Seton Hall and forward Alaiyah Moore from Texas. Both athletes are currently in recovery from injuries.
The Tennessee Lady Volunteers program has secured these two seasoned newcomers. Eads, who was a unanimous selection for the preseason All-Big East team, started all 16 games she participated in before her season concluded due to injury. During her time on the court,
she averaged 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. She reached double-digit scoring in 10 contests and achieved a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Princeton, in addition to scoring 18 points in a game versus Creighton.
Moore appeared in the starting lineup for 19 games with Texas before a knee injury prematurely ended her season. Her notable performances included a season-best 20 points against West Virginia and a contribution of 17 points and 14 rebounds in a victory over Arkansas. She concluded her collegiate career with a total of 792 points.
These acquisitions bring the Lady Vols’ roster to 13 players, a significant development considering that only a few weeks prior, all potential returning athletes had departed the program.
