Olivia Buzaglo, a TNT Sports reporter, has addressed supporters on social media after Crystal Palace player Jean-Philippe Mateta was seen cuddling up to her during a post-match interview.

Mateta was observed snuggling up to the journalist as she interviewed him and Tyrick Mitchell after the duo scored in Crystal Palace’s 3-0 win over Fiorentina in the first leg of their Conference League quarter-final, prompting fans to joke that someone should check on her boyfriend.

Buzaglo appeared cheerful when she joked, “It looks like we’re all having a little cuddle here,” after Mateta wrapped her arm around her.

She has now taken to Instagram to discuss her ‘crazy morning’ following the interview, claiming that ‘nothing is in it’.

Sharing a story to the social media app, Buzaglo said: “Well it’s been a bit of a crazy morning with outlets reporting on my post-match interview with JP Mateta.

‘Last night was a privilege to work at Crystal Palace, which was a great European night for the players and the club.

I have absolutely no problem with JP putting his arm around me. It was a wonderful, peaceful scene in which he was obviously quite happy and at ease throughout the interview, following such a spectacular performance.

“Nothing in it, guys. ” Wishing them the best of luck in the second leg!!

The French forward netted Palace’s opening goal from the penalty spot, his first since joining AC Milan in January. broke down after a failed medical.

As the post-match interview began on TNT Sports, Mateta wrapped her arm around Buzaglo and listened as she posed a question.
