He was selected as the USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week on December 9 and the USBWA Robertson National Mid-Major Player of the Month in December. His great junior season came after he averaged 14. 4 points and 4. 4 assists per game as a sophomore in his first season at Hofstra.
Prior to joining Hofstra, Davis spent one season at St. John’s and one at Iona. Due to an injury, he was limited to four games at St. John’s and was granted a medical redshirt. As a freshman at Iona, Davis received All-MAAC Rookie Team accolades after averaging 6. 5 points and 1. 0 assist per game.
Davis, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound guard, attended iSchool of Lewisville before switching to Huntington Prep in West Virginia, where he rose to a four-star rating on ESPN. com and the No. 27 positional ranking for the class. A dynamic scorer, he finished his high school career with 1,153 points before enrolling at Iona for the 2022-23 season to start his college career.

The Red Raiders have a 74-31 record under McCasland through three seasons, including a program-record four victories over Top 10 opponents last season. Tech was ranked throughout the 2025-26 season for the first time in program history, rising as high as No. 10 before ending the season at No. 21 in the AP Top 25. Davis is the first player to join Tech via the transfer portal this offseason, following freshman Da’Kari Spear, who committed to the program on November 13, 2025. Spear is a 6-foot-5 guard from Dallas, Texas who played at Dynamic Prep and got a four-star recruiting rating.
