The NFL recently revealed the 2025 Pro Bowl rosters, with three Green Bay Packers players making the list: defensive end Rashan Gary, safety Xavier McKinney, and running back Josh Jacobs. While Gary and McKinney earned their first Pro Bowl selections, Jacobs made his third appearance. Additionally, several Packers players were named as alternates, including two-time Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins, tight end Tucker Kraft, quarterback Jordan Love, center Josh Myers, cornerback Jaire Alexander, defensive tackle Kenny Clark, and return specialist Keisean Nixon.

Among the NFC teams with numerous Pro Bowl selections was the Detroit Lions, who are currently 14-2. However, one of their standout players, Kerby Joseph, was notably excluded from the roster despite leading the NFL in interceptions and being regarded as one of the top safeties in the league.

A former Packers defensive back, Tim Watson (now known as Tazim Wajid Wajed), offered an interesting explanation for Joseph’s Pro Bowl snub. Watson suggested that the omission may be linked to Joseph’s aggressive playing style. Despite Joseph leading the fan vote for safeties, NFL coaches and players apparently sent a message through their voting choices. Known for targeting the knees of offensive players, Joseph has caused injuries to Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson and Rams tight end Tyler Higbee, which might have influenced the votes from his peers in the league.
