Four-star defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile has narrowed his choices to LSU, Miami, and Virginia Tech. On May 8, he will declare his dedication.

Ayangbile is a 6-foot-2, 265-pound defensive lineman at Langham Creek High School in Houston who the 247Sports Composite ranks as the No. 227 overall prospect, No. 23 defensive lineman, and No. 36 player in Texas in the 2027 class. 247Sports’ internal rankings have him somewhat higher nationally, ranking No. 247 overall and No. 26 among defensive linemen.

The Hurricanes already have Key West defensive lineman Josh Johnson in their 2027 class. Miami has nine commitments and the No. 15 recruiting class nationally in the 247Sports team rankings.

Miami hopes to close on four-star Texas defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile this week.

Ayangbile’s father, Duane Brown, was an offensive tackle for Virginia Tech from 2003-2007 before being selected in the first round by the Houston Texans in 2008 and making five Pro Bowl appearances in the NFL. His mother, Ciera Ayangbile, was a Virginia Tech track and field star.

Ayangbile, a junior in 2025, recorded 50 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and three sacks. In 2024, as a sophomore, he recorded 40 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, and one fumble recovery. He received first-team all-district recognition and played in the Navy All-American Bowl.

The Hurricanes had two defensive linemen selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, with Rueben Bain Jr. going 15th overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Akheem Mesidor going 22nd overall to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Those selections provide HC Mario Cristobal and the coaching staff with a pitch to use with players such as Ayangbile who are graduating from high school.

Ayangbile made an unscheduled trip to Miami on April 4 and has one planned for May 29. He has scheduled a visit to Virginia Tech on June 5.
